Is it possible to un-dry a marshmallow?
I found some old marshmallows in a cupboard. But they're all hard.

Is it possible to make them moist and chewy like they once were. or do I have to wait until March in order to get some new ones?

Thanks! O8)

1. Send them to Southern Ca, Northern Az or western NV?
That should do it.

2. Try putting them in a bag with a slice of apple or some soft bread.
It works for brown sugar; it might work with marshmallows.

23. That's what I was going to say. Try putting them in an air
tight container with a piece of white bread.

12. Because it's impossible to :
blow 'em up with the vacuum food preserver, then deflate them making them wrinkle up... where I will proceed to do my new experiment on them: Can Peeps survive plastic surgery?

4. Don't put them in the microwave...
You may think it is fun to watch them puff up and melt but once the marshmallow "goo" hardens you could substitute it for brick mortar. Not fun to scrape out of your microwave...trust me!

14. I got a friend put on microwave probation for doing that...
we were in High School and had nothing better to do with a Saturday night we spent 2 hours scraping yellow cement out of her microwave...needless to say her parents weren't very happy and was an actual accomplice to a 17 year old getting put on microwave probation!

6. Boil em in water
That would do the trick! You didn't say if you wanted them to stay marshmallow shape.

10. Well, I tried that too...

(I realized quickly that I don't eat graham crackers and chocolate bars, so I grabbed the next best things: Triscuits and Ovaltine. Pretty inventive, huh?)

29. If they make people vote Republican,
don't eat them. Boy Scouts didn't fry Peeps, so I don't know what to suggest.

I say just nibble on them the way they are. Think how much longer they'll last.

15. Oh, you mean peeps!
I thought people liked them hard and crusty? (I wouldn't know as I despise all forms of marshmallow.)

Try steam - do you have a steamer basket?

30. Fear response in Peeps.
http://www.peepresearch.org/fear.html

After removal from the test chamber, our subject exhibited a compensatory post-stress reaction, possibly due to exhaustion after the intense agonistic display. (Wow, he looks tired!)

If you have never read Peeps research, you must. Also, find the bunny peeps and the traitor bunnies.
