i feeL bad - i've been having an affair
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 01:21 PM by sniffa
i've been cheating on my sandwich maker.

i used to go every day to this corner market by work, to grab a sandwich ($3 - awesome price for the area) and i got to know everyone there on a first name basis. weLL, i haven't been back there in maybe 5 months or so, and it feLt so awkward.... gone was the chemistry we used to have. i couLdn't even Look her in the eye as i made excuses for why i stopped going there for Lunch: "i'm on a Low carb diet" "i work the night shift now" "i hate you".

i don't know whether to try and make this work, or give up and move on.

1. Give up and move on
I recently have been in a similar situation with my favorite Southwest/Mex Restaurant. The first place was owned by locals and real great and nice and convenient. Well another place opened just two blocks down and they don't make you pay for your chips and they use black beans instead of refried beans (much healthier and tastier IMO). This new place is not locally owned but it is Atlanta (regionally) based so I don't feel too bad. Anyway I've decided I can't keep on feeling bad about it. So enjoy your new place!

3. Why feel bad?
My guess is that the sandwich shop is just pleased to get your business again.

6. My ex-favorite diner is at the end of the block of my ofc bldg.
I have to kinda duck my head when I go by there anymore on the way to the newer (better) joint in next block. I know exactly how you feel. But I finally decided it wasn't good for my arteries to be eating food cooked in grease that's older than I am.

7. Man, you have to decide what you really want in life?
I mean, is this true love? Never give up on true love! Beg for forgiveness, hang out with them, they'll grow to love you again.

But if you're just out for a casual relationship, make sure that's what they want, too. Nothing worse than lying to a sandwich shop, stringing them along, pretending you have the same goals when in reality they are no more to you than a quick bite every other Tuesday. Be honest!! It will work out.

My guess is they've been cheating on you, too, making sandwiches for any Tom, Dick and Harriet who wanders in through the door. Hard to trust these commercial operations, but they are good for cheap gratification from time to time.

13. I actually did behave like a cad who doesn't bother to phone
She cut my hair with a straight razor and it looked fucking awful. I was too chicken to tell her that I:
1. hated it
2. that I was leaving her for another woman who used scissors (and charged less)
