Not about anything else.

2. Fine, but crowded.
There was the Presidential limo... replicas of the Oval Office, the Cabinet Room, kiosks dealing with each year of Clinton's administration, and what I would describe as "theme nooks" dealing with issues like the environment, the economy, world peace, Hillary, the impeachment, et cetera.

It's a good library. Far more beautiful from the inside - I don't like the exterior at all - with a great view of the Arkansas River and the city of LR.

6. As I live about an hour away, it's not much of a trip.
But I would have gone further for it. I just wish it hadn't been so damned crowded... but that's a good thing, isn't it?

9. Yeah you could
funny how many of those people think T, G, E, H, P, A, R, H is a centrist even though he's liberal on my economic issues and social issues, is just a bit hawkish.

10. Kleeb, you should have seen this guy at the Library.
He was about 100 feet away, standing in a circle of homemade signs, saying things like "Hillary - Dump Him, What a Scumbag," "Jimmy Carter? Here?" "Ruwandan Watutsis" (his spelling), and something about abortion. My favorite was "I Did Not _________ Monica."

My friend and I had a good laugh over that one - I wanted to go over and say, "You know, he didn't actually _______ Monica - she _______ed him."

29. Reminds me of my visit to the JFK eternal flame gravesite
This fellow was standing there, everyone was quiet, about 50 people there. So the guy said, "Rise up, John Kennedy. RISE UP! Everyone, if we believe, John Kennedy will RISE UP and LEAD AGAIN!" Ever since then, I remember that and think of JFK rising up as a zomby and telling this guy, would you let me sleep and leave me the heck alone!

15. WTF
You know something, I am a pretty far to the left type person, always have been but I don't believe centrists are bad, in fact after 4 years of Bush, a centrist would be a breath of fresh air. Thats why I stay out of GD, because of the bsing of many people who think their way or the highway, and who use the term bushlite freely way too easily.

16. Republicans have developed a foolproof plan to hold back
liberal/progressive legislation.

They fuck up things so badly that any Dem who follows them has to spend the bulk of his term cleaning up their messes, and has hardly any time to do anything else...

Allow me to paraphrase Mr. T: I pity the Dem who has to follow Bush.

18. I do too
The funny thing to me is people act like Kerry is some moderate DLCer when both Clinton and Gore who they really like did not choose Kerry because of his more left leanings. Clinton and Gore are good guys but they are more moderate than Kerry, its a fact.

21. I went right when it opened and loved it
I refer to it as the Clinton Presidential Library and Bragging Rights Center. Its purpose is to remind Americans what having a decent President was like. As often as I disagreed with Clinton on some policy issues, it is sure a huge contrast to see what a difference basic competence makes.

Anyway, its well worth going to see.

When I toured the Truman and Kennedy libraries there were mostly retired people. I would think there would be younger visitors at Clintons.
