When I look at it like that it seems impossible!

3. You can do it!
Please stick with it.

Everytime you get an urge, go look at yourself in a mirror and say "I can do this" over and over again!

Best of luck!:hi:

4. Good work! Do it one day at a time
I'd love to help but I have to get rid of all this candy and chocolate that's lying around the house by eating it first.

5. Don't think of it as a "diet" that has a start and an end.
Think of it as a "lifestyle change" that has room for modification. You are not deprived, you are empowered.

6. I am trying to eat sensibly around 1400 calories and exercise
No special diet. Giving up desserts, cutting back on carbs, eating more fresh fruit, veggies, salads. Meat is ok.

I am also giving up diet soda. I have a terrible sweet tooth and there is just no way to "sorta" give up sweets. I would eat nothing else all day every day if I could. :donut:

I have 80 lbs to lose and I am so sick of making this same resolution year after year. This has to be the year!

14. cutting back on carbs really helped me. I think they made me
hungrier and cued me to eat. I don't get the urges to eat that I used to get. Honestly, I think there is something different about people like us. It's not just a matter of willpower; something is going on but I'm not sure what it is. I did Weight Watchers on-line and although I still would like to eat more, I'm in control now (at least for today). It's like an addiction and I'll have to be vigilant every day of my life.

Good luck. you CAN do it. If I did, anyone can.

7. One day at a time....
Or in my case it would have to be one meal at a time.

8. Dont forget your Walkies!
Walkies is fun. Really FUN!
Do you have a dog friend to walk with?
Some local animal shelters are very happy to loan you a walking partner for 30 minutes or an hour.

12. Stayed on my sensible eating too...
gained 1/2 a pound when I used to gain 6 to 8 over the holidays, and over the years.

The candy we received for the holidays, I sent it off to my neighbors. They were having a big party and have a large family. I gave my hubby an exquisite box of chocolates, expensive but only 4 peaces.

When I feel like munching, I brush my teeth. Try eating anything after brushing your teeth, taste is horrible.

15. Great ideas, thanks!
Yeah, if I floss earlier in the evening I know I wont want to do it again, so that will keep me from munching at the time I am most prone to it.
