Once and for all: Wesley Clark... or Wesley Crusher?
(aka Wil Wheaton)

I'd much rather vote for Wil. He's a definite liberal and supports the Electronic Frotier Foundation. What more do we want, some retired general who has given the impression he may not be what he now claims to be?

10. No, just curious.
How do you want me to speak, then?

Or not speak at all?

Fortunately I'm getting answers, interesting ones, from other folks. You're just happy to provoke as a response; engaging in your own bit of flamebait which cannot be perceived any other way.

That's just my observation based on your observation of me.

If anything, I should have put in a disclaimer in my original post. I apologize for not doing so. :-(

Besides, I thought the surname bit was kinda cute. :D

13. hells bells, HT, you posted this in the lounge, no need for a disclaimer.
it no surprise a clarkie didn't recognize the satire.

a total lack of a sense of humor or irony seems to be one their more annoying characteristics.

4. I'd rather vote for his mom.
One way or another, we'd get a doctor for president.

5. The GOP is SCARED of Wesley Clark.
The pathetic and drunken Republican Bob Novak has recently been having a cowardly hissy fit regarding Wesley Clark. The truth is Novak's pathetic attempts to undermine Clark will be seen as more proof that the GOP is deathly afraid of Clark, and that Novak is merely a Republican wind bag and all around political hack.

11. Welcome to DU and thanks for the response!
If Novak is having a cow over him, then Clark might just be for real. And that's what I'm hoping for, especially if he becomes the candidate.

9. Wil Wheaton's Blog is Awesome
Check out out! Smart guy. He recommends Joe Conason's book Big Lies right on his front page, so he's definitely very cool.

12. Thanks for the link!!!
I definitely dig his personality, sense of humor, and flair!

I feel sorry for him considering how writers wrote his character, especially in the first year of TNG. It's easy to hate "Wonderboy" but it wasn't Wil's fault. But everybody likes to blame him all the same. And it's too easy to associate an actor with the character portrayed.

16. Wil Is the First to Make Fun of Wesley
Wil has a great sense of humor about the whole thing, even spoofing himself -- or his character, anyway.

Here are some great snippets from his blog:

FAQ: But Gene was alive then. You're a liar!
Many people have pointed this fact out to me, and you're right. Gene was alive. But he was in poor health, and wasn't heavily involved in the production of the show at that time. That's why, when I did that interview, I thought that he had already died. Hey, I make mistakes. Too bad I don't have FOX News to help me cover them up.

FAQ: Why'd you put a porn link on your site?! You're squeeky clean!
Because I wanted to upset you, mom. Here, have another.

FAQ: So you're not gay?
I am not gay. But thanks for asking.
FAQ: Wait. I heard that you and...
Yeah, I heard that too. And since I read it on the internet, it must be true, right?

I also recommend reading his "official" bio. He's a funny guy.

14. Thank god you finally started a semi ST-TNG thread
Think I would rather have Clark than Crusher as Pres, but if I needed a super-smart teenager to help me navigate the cosmos, then Crusher is the man!

:bounce:

18. Wesley Crusher
Will Wheaton was one of those hot Stand by Me guys when I was in 8th or 9th grade when the movie came out. Now, he was no River Phoenix, but a close second.
