it's sort of a family joke. we always talk about naming things bob, but this is the only time we actually have.

18. I had a lovebird for 13 years....
I was the only one she did not bite....:D Pipo was the head of the household here - boss over a feisty Jack Russell terrier too - throughout her life. I adored her and her comic antics until she keeled over and died on the kitchen floor 3 years ago. I let her out of her cage several times a day in the kitchen while I cooked, and gave her a little wooden box with flanel rags inside (her "sheets"!) to sleep in every night - she LOVED her bed..... On the kitchen table I would always have a cardboard shoe box with a little door and some windows cut into the side for her to play in with some toys. Mine was a female and loved to snip little strips of paper from sheets of paper to make a nest with - kept her happily busy for hours each day. The only thing I do not miss is her screeching sounds she made on and off all day long.......:silly: I also would play her a tape of bird/forest sounds which she tried to imitate. If you get them young they do learn some sounds if you practice them at the cage every day for a period of time. Have fun with your bob! DemEx
