The woman who advertised low gas prices while strutting two weeks ago along South Milton Road clad only in a thong bikini and the gas station owner who hired her will not be charged for violating a city ordinance banning the showing of buttocks in a public place.
Ashlee Dawn and George Nackard will not be cited for the misdemeanor offense, said Flagstaff City Attorney Joe Bertoldo.

"We didn't see that it was a repeating event," Bertoldo said. "It seemed to be a singular incident."

The hullabaloo began Sept. 12 when motorists passing by Nackard's Varsity Gasser on the corner of South Milton and Riordan roads saw Dawn parading around holding a sign that said, "We can't take any more off." She wore a thong bikini, fully exposing her buttocks.

The idea at the time, Nackard said, was to show the motoring public just how low his gas prices were.
