Ever see Kiss in concert with the makeup?
Either recently or back in the 70's?

I saw them at both times, never without the makeup....

Say what you will about the band, they knew how to entertain...

1. Yes
I saw them on the "Love Gun" tour and the "Dynasty" tour. I also reluctantly went on the "Psycho Circus" tour. Never saw them play without their makeup.

3. I liked the Psycho Circus tour :)
Brought back happy memories of my childhood - especially since I was Eight the last time I had seen them (1978)

4. I liked that tour
I only said "reluctantly" because I wasn't going to go. My buddy got $150 dollar floor seats and had no one to go with. I went with him after him asking me a few times and he gave me the ticket.
It was pretty good though and it brought back some memories to me also.

5. I saw them in the early '80's
I think they had makeup, but I wouldn't swear to it. We had to leave early because the explosions hurt the girls' ears.

8. I saw Wendy O. Williams at a bar in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
It was about 1988, I think. On/near the University of Alabama campus. There was a blackout, but I think it was a gimmick that Wendy had staged to make everyone think that it was such a hard-ass show the wiring couldn't handle it. Morgan's was the bar. Pretty cool show. Shame that she killed herself.

11. You lie! Wendy O killed herself?!?
Where was I when that happened? Shit! I didn't know that.

I was just talking about her today--a teen kid I know who is majorly into 70s-80s punk always asks for my advice on music. I told him that he had to check out Wendy O Williams.

Too weird, syrinx. I had just mentioned her today.

Yeah. Seems like she shot herself with a shotgun in the woods. A shame.

Maybe the synchronicity is a good sign!

18. Dear Wendy O
I remember when she was arrested in Pittsburgh back in 1979 for wearing only shaving cream and electrical tape...

10. used to go to their rehearsal sessions......with & w/o makeup.....
in fact they used to visit us at weird hours and bring McDonald's. I only saw them in one concert a couple of years ago. They used an old hanger at the airport, in fact Queen, Boston, Rolling Stones, and a bunch of other used it to practice. Kiss definitely had the best buffet and barbecue. They always tried to hide from fans so they wouldn't see them w/o makeup. Ace gave me a box of picks that I threw to a group of screaming fans so we could sneak them out of our hqts.

17. Yep.
The hanger in Newburgh.

Gene used to try to bone my Canajun girlfriend when he was in T.O.

And call me a "loser", because I was not him. ;-)

I used to work for The Ace. I love that sweetheart. He is just the nicest, sweetest guy in the world.

Can't remember which one now but he rolled a brand new Mercedes on a road around the perimeter of the airport, cops were taking them shooting at their range. Car had just enough miles from Westchester to Newburgh.

13. I saw the KISS movie...
...when it first came out circa 1978, and toted my sandwiches to school in a KISS lunch box around '79/80. Does that count? :P

14. I saw them in the early 80s and they had that stage that looked...
like a tank. "I Love it Loud?"

For some reason I can't recall whether they had makeup on or not because I think Motley Crue was at the same show and they had makeup on.

20. Yes - in Dodger Stadium in L.A. circa 1998.
There were thousands of fans and hundreds with faces painted a la "Kiss". They still put on quite a show.
