Who's over-medicated here?
I'm worried about you. Based on all the pharma-eff-ups in recent weeks, just wondering who really needs the crap they're on anyhow?

I'm on NOthing. Feel great at 58, maybe because I don't go to doctors? A-rooo-gahhh :D

2. I am allergic to Meds

I found out that I was allergic to cholesterol medication last year.

I started getting pains that bounced from joint to joint, muscle spasms and tingling all over my body.

Doctor tried one with statins? and then one without statins.Doctor was sure the new one would be "fine."

NO!The same symptoms and they took me off of the new one.

So, now I pray, try to eat right and exercise and hope for the best.

Then I got a sore throat, doctor gave me Kiete(sp.), same symtoms, they took me off of that and put me on Levaquin. Granted, the first antibiotic did not get completely out of my body but the same thing happened AGAIN!

So, the Neurologist took me off of the Antibiotic and told me to gargle with salt water.

She said, Dr.'s over prescribe antibiotics.

So far, I've been off the meds for two weeks, feel MUCH better and my throat feels fine.

Bottom line - all these meds can help and hurt you at the same time.

6. Working on 1st Stoli of the day.
Many more to follow.

4 years ago I was diagnosed with severe degenerative joint disease in my lower back. My doctor tried putting me on Vioxx, Celebrex, and about a dozen other things, including Aleve. I didn't like any of it. He finally gave me Vicodin, for really bad days. I take about 2 of them a month.

Screw the pharmaceutical companies. Russian vodka works just fine!

12. One prescription for me...
Adderall XR...it really does help me. I stopped taking it everyday though, because I would have had to go on a ridiculously high dosage due to my tolerance. Now I take it 3-4 days a week and haven't had a tolerance problem since.

I also dose regularly with starbucks, nicotine (varies between 1 pack day & none for a month or so...not addictive for me), alcohol and lately, pot.

My mother is on hmm...let's count...Zoloft, Paxil, Xanax, and Percoset. She's still hyperactive & neurotic. She had been on Vioxx. This is the woman that thought anti-depressants would make me heterosexual and says during arguments, "Are you taking your meds? If you were on your medication, you wouldn't act this way!" She thinks that ADD meds stop adult children from arguing with their parents because she "heard that it turns little kids into zombies."

I think I'm fairly normal considering what spawned me.

15. Yeah...
Anti-depressants just scare me. Pain killers, I'm not fond of. I like xanax & such if I have to take a long flight, just to help me sleep. I have a high tolerence to most meds though and rarely get side-effects. The one exception is antibiotics. I hadn't taken them since I was 7 and had to take them about a year ago (in hospital with freaky "strep eye") and I got every fucking side effect. It was horrible. They made me an evil person.
