Deep fried pizza, covered in a coating of batter for added crunch?!
What does it take to win the title of most unhealthy area in Europe? Looks like the Scotttish have done some RD and have invented new ways to clug your arteries.

We're brought up on rubbish and, as parents, we give our children rubbish to eat," Ms. Ski said at the fish and chips shop, known as a chippie, in Mary Hill, a working-class enclave of Glasgow.
...
Smoking is one reason for Scotland's "sick man of Europe" tag, she said. But another was staring her in the face: deep fried pizza, covered in a coating of batter for added crunch, sometimes doused with salt and vinegar or soupy gravy.

"It soaks up the grease like a sponge," Ms. Ski said. "It's heart attack material there."

Deep fried pizza ?! OMG

10. We Scots do not put food in a cow's stomach so stop saying that!
Haggis is made in a sheep's stomach :-)

At one point it was actually banned in the U.S. as unfit for human consumption :puke: :puke: :puke:

5. They call that "calabash" cooking here...
Anything deep fried. It's like the seafood restaurant on the Simpsons, where even the serving tray and drink glasses are deep fried.
