Bandaid or open wound?
Yesterday in class I cut my finger and the blood squirted out like on Monty Python and it went straight up in the air and hit me in the face and spilled all over my clothes.
I didn't need stitches but I allmost fainted.

Should I keep a bandaid on the cut or leave it exposed so that it will heal faster?

2. Neosporin, or some such, and band aid

at least for a few days. Depending on where it is, the bandaid can keep you from hitting it with utensils, clothing, etc. and reopening it.

When it gets a good scab on it then you don't have to worry about a bandaid.

edit: Wash first, yes.

3. sterilize the wound of course
then try one of the liquid bandage type products. Honest, nothing works better on fingers.
