Music seems to play faster while you're driving.
Anyone else notice this phenomenon?

I listened to The Shins' "Chutes too Narrow" for the first time in a couple weeks outside of my car, and it seems a lot... slower (especially Mine's Not a High Horse... especially that). It's weird.

3. Stopped listening to radio a few months ago.
Not only is the music almost always crappy recycled (and CENSORED) corporate feces, but it seems like there is way more advertising than music. So I guess that the FCC says it's okay to shove consumerism down our throats, but saying "fuck" on the airwaves will destroy Amurika :eyes:

5. used to be common practice for radio stations to play faster.
listeners don't notice a slight increase in playback speed and you can cram in another commercial or two each hour. Don't you guys know this?

cassette decks are/were all over the place with speed.

former radio broadcaster.

6. not radio.
Though, I have always suspected what you said about radio broadcasts. Interesting.

I listen to music via the car's CD deck, because FM radio around here totally sucks.

7. Same here, corp conglomeration killed local AM & FM
Satilite sounds OK but offers no local news commentary or issue disscusion. no room for community views or political debate. When we lost the airwaves to giant corporate interests we lost more than many will ever know. Local voices were silenced. You can thank Reagan and his puke thugs for this.

Hiel Corporate Amurika! we will work and think in LOCK STEP, individual thought will be identified and will recieve harsh punishment.
