The Great "Hold the Republicans Responsible" Thread - PLAY ALONG!
Some time ago told you guys that I started a new exercise to hold the goddamned Republicans responsible for ANYTHING bad that's happening in the world.

It's not a blame game. I feel that if the rat-fuckers will spare no lie, hypocrisy, underhanded deed or any level of malfeasance to steal the White House and other public offices, they must want such great power a whole hell of a lot

And as you Spider-Man fans know, that with great power comes great responsibility.

I intend to hold them to it.

So, in honor of the of the great unraveling to come, let's play the responsibility game.

The rules are simple, you guys identify one of the world's problems and I will find any way to link to those goddamned, rat-fucking republicans.

Easy, right?

LET'S PLAY!!

5. Easy
Those goddamned Repubicans have, since the Reagan era, used the tax code to shift the burden from the rich to the poor. And used the same tax code to undermind the manufacturing base, export labor and lightened the taxes on speculative income.

The Clinton era only slowed down what Bush's continuation of Reagan's regressive policies.

Those rat-fuckers really did it to us this time

Which can't profit from MM. That and the fact that they are willing to do anything to continue their failed War on Drugs. Which is in fact a War on Poor People.

MM is a only way that the people can fight their war on the 'erb.

9. This a direct result of their war on human sexuality
All done with the greatest of puritanical zeal.

They have a failed logic which dictates that giving the kids the truth about sexuality and the ability for them to make informed choices, you are in giving them carte blanc to fuck around.

Withhold the means and access to protection and you are withholding permission.

One only had to look at Europe to see that early sex education and easy access to contraception if the correct course for holding down the teen pregnancy rate.

reduce teen pregnancy rates? They just want to make sure the kids don't GET AWAY WITH fucking with no penalties. They want to be able to point fingers. They also have military forces that need implverished & desperate recruits.

24. Abortion -- not just among teens -- can be linked to the economy
That's the nasty little truth the neo-cons don't want the evangelicals and fundamentalists to know. Under the Clinton administration, abortion was declining. It began to rise during the first year of the Bush administration -- directly as a result of the economy, job loss, and uncertain times.

Women who don't believe they have the ability to care for a child, will be more apt to consider abortion. Women who are already having a difficult time feeding the family they have currently will be more apt to consider abortion. Women who are uncertain about the future are more apt to consider abortion. Women who cannot fathom how to dig themselves out of economic hell holes when adequate and affordable child care cannot be found are more apt to consider abortion. Women who are already having a difficult time filling their car with gasoline, paying their rent and buying groceries are more apt to consider abortion.

Edited for NOT reading the rules: There's just so many, it was hard to stick with just one...does the record bankruptcies & foreclosures have anything to do with the answer to post #1?

11. A few reasons
Outsourcing is part of it.

It's all part of the Republican's war on the middle class.

Reduction of the manufacturing base, easy credit schemes, the shift to a permanent war economy and regressive taxes.

Everything is weighted against the little guy, because the Goodamn Republicans have shifted the advantages to their base; the Rich.

14. It's all part of the Republican's war on Women's Health
Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 08:08 PM by MrScorpio
If the Goddamned Republican's friends in Big Pharma actually found a way to cure menstrual cramps, it would be one more step to allow women full equality in our society.

But the Republicans are still doing their damndest to keep women down, because they know that women's health issues are human rights issues.

It's all part of the rat-fuckers plan to maintain their hegemony.

21. Oh, yee of little faith
The Goddamned Republicans mishandling to our economy has put the dollar into a tail-spin.

That, in turn, has increased the price of importing chocolate and caused a reduction in the chocolate supply.

The answer is that you need to find another flavor on donut to pig out on.

33. Reagan's Revenge
>>Press reaction to these two aspects of the album tended to overshadow consideration of the material, which ranged from politically charged rockers like "Right or Wrong," a direct challenge to the Reagan administration, to heartfelt ballads like "Home Town," a reflection on memory and loss. Jackson undertook another extensive tour lasting from May to December (one he reported enjoying much more than the last one), and the album spent six months in the charts, but only peaked in the Top 40.<<

Some misguided biblical something or rather.

Republicans have always hated good dance music... They think that's its either too gay or too black.

Also, they think that dancing can lead to unprotected sex.

28. Isn't it obvious?
It's because the Goddamned Republicans have always fought against municipal mass transit projects.

They are in deep with big oil which, in turn is dependent on the automobile industry.

Plus, they know that cars are necessary of allow the affluent to reside in suburbia where they can use them to consolidate their political base.

It's all part of their plan

32. I'll make it simple
Goddamned Republicanism is the antithesis of everything Pagan.

Pagans strive for peace - Goddamned Republicans strive for war

Pagans strive for harmony with nature - Goddamned Republicans strive to pave it over

Pagans strive for justice- Goddamned Republicans strive for "Just us"

Pagans strive for the sanctity of humanity - Goddamned Republicans strive for the sanctity of cheap labor

Pagans strive for the freedom to love - Goddamned Republicans strive for the freedom of love for money

Pagans strive for truth - Goddamned Republicans strive to fill their churches with Kool-Aid drinkers
