Poll question: What's your favorite Joe Walsh song?
Deep Green asked this in General Discussion. I wanted to answer but it was locked, so...

4. County Fair / Help Me Through the Night
I've been known to do a great live Turn to Stone though, so... I love all Joe Walsh music. I even love Waffle Stomp from the Fast Times soundtrack.

also:

Ashes, The Rain and I
The Confessor
I Like Big Tits
Elmer Fudd Rap

and a good one for the situation we find ourselves in:

Look At Us Now

On edit: lyrics

Joe Walsh - Look At Us Now

People, look at us now
In the midst of confusion
We lost sight somehow
How, in the name of the planet
I just don't understand it
Look at us now

People, open your eyes
How can everyone see it
And yet be so blind?
And still, still we go on pretending
Nothing is wrong, we don't have that long
Open your eyes

Children, this is your song
In case someday you need one
Long after I'm gone
Please take care of the planet
Like the way that God planned it
And pass it along

Please, take care of the planet
That's the way that God planned it
Pass it along, to your children
Children, children.....

10. Does anyone have the Barnstorm Album/CD ?
Edited on Sun Nov-28-04 08:37 PM by DeepGreen
I think it was his first major CD after James Gang.
I played the lp to death. When I started getting CDs
I could not find it. Then ended up paying quite a bit
in an import store - imported from Japan !

Barnstorm is one of my favorite Walsh albums.
He recoreded it not to far from here at Caribou Ranch.

12. Do you remember the Morse code ? I think it is either in
"One And One" or "Giant Bohemoth" or in between the two.
I got out the Morse Code alphabet to decipher it.
Believe it or not, it spells something like "Get out and Vote"
Jut like Walsh to put that in Morse code !

13. Some friends of mine lived in....
...the barn pictured on the cover of that album (after it was renovated). I went to a couple of good parties there, back in the day.

17. Remember? LOL
...that was 20 years ago. I remember some of the folks who were there...one guy went barefoot year round (in Colorado)...another guy wore a womans handbag upside down on his head.

Three years ago I had Thanksgiving Dinner with the woman who lived there at the time (she now lives in Northern Idaho). She turned out OK...that makes at least two of us.

Ah, to be young again!

18. Walk Away
Takin' my time
Choosin' my lines
Try'n' to decide what to do
Looks like my stop
Don't wanna get off
Got myself hung up on you

Seems to me
You don't wanna talk about it
Seems to me
You just turn your pretty head and walk away

Places I've known
Things that I'm growin'
Don't taste the same without you
I got my self in
The worst mess I've been
And I find myself starvin' without you

Seems to me
Talk all night here comes the mornin'
Seems to me
You just forget what we said and greet the day

I've got to cool myself down
Stompin' around
Thinkin' some words I can't name ya
Meet you half way
Got nothing to say
Still I don't s'ppose I can blame ya

Seems to me
You don't wanna talk about it
Seems to me
You just turn your pretty head and walk away

(always liked that song)
