Defensive people suck.

I make mistakes as we all do. I'm human and to the best of my ability when I make a mistake, I apologize for that mistake. Unfortunately, there are those people in the world who through an innocent error perhaps or just lack of judgment are incredible inconsiderate of others then when people find themselves less than happy with this lack of consideration, their reaction is not an apology, but to lash out yet again in anger and somehow once again, I am at fault. :wtf:

The point being that I manage to be reminded all too often why why I am divorcing this man. Simple human respect, kindness, and the complete lack thereof I get. Soon. Very soon. I can't wait. :grr:

I get yelled at for my frustration at waiting in the rain for 15 minutes for him. I should have been psychic though apparently and knew where he was parked (in the dark no less). From a logical standpoint, it's senseless.

A simple human "I'm sorry I missed you" is all I needed. Oh well. Can't change other people, so I got to change myself. :D (Just venting right now without internalizing this crap.)

But seriously, some people are oblivious to anything that doesn't directly involve them. I find this usually to be from lack of maturity, but sometimes it can be just plain selfishness. (Although the two do often seem to appear in the same person surprisingly enough.)

It sucks that you have to go through this, but don't forget to learn what you can from the experience. You learn important things about yourself when going through stressful times. Some good, some bad. All valuable to know.

I do have one question - did his behavior change drastically at some point in the relationship? Like after the marriage, or engagement?

I'm have the same problem with my SO, but I'm not married. But I feel the exact same way you do about defensive people.

The last thing I need is someone coming in here telling me that defensive people suck. I mean, come on! What gives you the right to come in here dumping on defensive people? Like we don't have enough problems. Here I am minding my own business when out of the blue someone tells me I suck. I say it is you offensive people who are the problem. If it weren't for offensive people, we defensive people wouldn't have to be defensive in the first place. I think you owe us an apology.
