Geez, I thought it was a bunch of walruses and surgeons coming down Broadway. I had no idea.

Ended up watching a commercial-free Abbot and Costello marathon on TCM.

1. I stopped watching the parades

a few years ago. They are just 3 hour commercials for whatever network is airing it.

I just want to see the parade, not see what the cast of some stupid sitcom is doing.

and I think the fact that I have gotten so far away from commercial TV made it even harder to watch this year. It kept turning my stomach. If I were there in person, it would probably be tons of fun. But watching it on TV and having to listen to the idiotic comments of the talking heads? I'd rather run hot piano wire through my eyes.

Abbott and Costello was much better. Haven't seen those movies in ages.
