I'm afraid I can no longer be a part of DU and its corruption

It came to me in a vision last night: it is my purpose, responsibility and duty to serve he who gives us life: our Father who Art in Heaven. An angel himself was sent to console me and show me the error of my ways.
I think of the childern, little lives that could have marched in step with God, that I allowed to be aborted, destroyed before they could enter our world and know his grace.
I think of the Sodom that has become our planet. The thought that I would allow homosexuals to spread their lifystyle, their corruption. They seek to defile our beautiful ideal of marriage, that most holy of examples of our connection with our true Father. I think of my daughter, in school, who they will try to turn to their evil, hedonistic lifestyle if they should be allowed to teach.
I think of the Angel saying that God will forgive me for my vote for John Kerry, if I will only see the error of my ways. I have done so. My calling is to leave and serve God with all of my love. I shall now enter the priesthood.
I will pray for you. My life is filled with love and hope for you. May you, too, see the error of your ways. May God have mercy on your soul.

God Bless You,
Darby T.

54. Disturbing, isn't it?
My best friend, whom I love dearly, has fallen for all that shit. She said it's okay for gay people to live together, but they can't have sex. She is also wrapped up in a whole bunch of crap about all the secret societies ruling the world, and that nothing goes on without the approval of groups like the Illuminati, the Masons, and so on and so forth. She also said that Saddam Hussein found and started to dig up the original Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and it was partly the reason why the chimp had to bring him down. Oh yeah--and if ANYONE goes against Israel, they are devils and need to be killed. And then there is the "secret list" of Popes that shows there are only going to be two more after JPII dies. After that, it's supposed to be Armageddon.

I checked your other posts, honestly, this whole pro-life conversion seems out of place.

That coupled with your tag line, and all of the other sarcastic comments you posted in this thread, I grow suspicious that your original post is sincere.

Edited on Sat Nov-27-04 04:46 AM by derbstyron
I wasn't being serious if that's what you are wondering.

I tend to get down a lot because of health issues. And many people on DU make me laugh out loud with their responses and some threads (the ask me anythings?). I figured I would get some funny responses and I did. It helped to lighten my mood and make me smile for just a couple of hours. That was all I was asking.

For what's it worth: I knew some people wouldn't get it. Mainly, for two reasons:

1) I'm new here (relatively) and most people probably haven't figured me out yet. And some are probably still leery and untrustworth (Freeper?).

The more Chilling...

2) I used some of the right wing freaks talking points and beliefs. Its like with Ann Coulter. I know she says things just to shock and sell books. But people DO believe all these sorts of things.

And they vote! :scared:

Actually, I found your question amusing. Anything that brings a smile to my face!

As for the answer, I would imagine that you only saw a happy or sad face because you can do that with the keyboard. You know the standard make a happy or sad face with the lines.

I didn't learn how to work the others till now.

I said it before and I'll say it again (Not you): people need to lighten up. Anyone who gets their feelings hurt by a post from someone they have never met strikes me as strange. But maybe its just me.

27. The Bible says
That all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. St. Matthew 26 Jesus said, for I was an hungered and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the Bush administration say, Lord when saw we thee an hungered, (the unemployed) and feed thee? or thirsty and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in (the poor that didn't count) or naked and clothed thee?
Or when saw thee a sick, ( no health coverage) or in prison ( the patriot act) and came unto thee?
And the King (Jesus) shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Bush administration righteous? tell me another one.

66. Sarcasm:
A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

A keen, reproachful expression; a satirical remark uttered with some degree of scorn or contempt; a taunt; a gibe; a cutting jest.

Although, I DO understand that such things are difficult to read when dealing only with written words. I suppose its a matter of context. Of which, here, of course, there was none.

57. Thank God
some one has answered the Pope's calling to enter the priesthood. Dear lord, we surly are running out of kid chasing priests.

61. Oh yeah?
Well, I had a vision last night, too, and it trumps yours'.

The baby Jesus himself came to me and said, "Lo -- that fruit of solemn vines doth dot itself with butter. And when the honeybee fertilizes its heathen ass, then the third kingdom of Microsoft will rule."

How did you manage to stay so long around us sinners :eyes: You had so many ailments that it sounded like you were making fun of us having a good heart when someone is down and I kind of called you on it didn't I?

Good Luck!

67. I don't understand this
Edited on Sat Nov-27-04 12:24 PM by derbstyron
Or have any idea what I have been "called on"

The point of my attack, I thought, fairly obvious. Most people got it. Read above.

I make fun of no one who supports me, offers support or guidance for my "many ailments".

69. You don't seem to recognize satire when you read it.
For having a good heart, that's not a very good hearted post. Kind of called you on it, didn't I?

That's really frightening... knowing how many intellectually weak people are opting for the easy road through just this same 'thought' process.

:scared:

It would seem that *you* would be the idiot as you are virtually the only one left not in on the joke.

For christs sake: go buy a fucking clue!
