How many of you Muggles are up for a HARRY POTTER group?

Mission Statement: The purpose of this group is to provide a place for fans to discuss the Harry Potter universe in both its incarnations: the books themselves (and this would include all written materials *about* the Potter series, such as all literary criticism, philosophical critiques such as Harry Potter and Philosophy: If Aristotle Ran Hogwarts, and alternate theories/storylines found in fan fiction); and the Harry Potter franchise (the movies, toys, t-shirts, soundtracks, costumes, etc.)


My preference would be that people who dislike Potter (for any reason, be it religious or just because they think the books suck) not be welcome to post. What does everyone else think? I will run it by Skinner for his input, too.

7. I'd love to join a Harry Potter group.

I understand why you might say that opponents of HP should not be 'welcome to post', but I think all opinions should be allowed, we can just tell them what we think right back. I don't like the thought of any censorship or elitism, we aren't Repugs after all.

I'll start with a question. Who does everyone think is going to be killed off in the next book? JKR has already said another popular character is going to be killed. I think it will be one of the Weasley twins.

I guess I just don't want to spend a lot of time debating when I could be exegeting my theories on Snape's troubled past...

My bet is McGonagall or Hagrid in the next book, but I think at least one Weasley child is going to snuff it in book 7. The foreshadowing of Molly and the boggart in OotP was just toooooo sad and scary for it not to lead anywhere.

We got HP3 on dvd Wednesday - even though we read the book and saw the movie in the theater, my oldest watched the dvd 5 times in 2 days! LOL
