My dentist dropped a crown down my throat! Should I sue him?
Reflectively,I swallowed the damn thing. He seemed quite un-nerved about the event, but told me to pick through my crap until I find it! What do ya think, DUers?

Mistakes happen.

8. Well, you'd need to claim some kind of damages.
Maybe picking through your crap caused you emotional distress?

9. don't sue - just make him replace it
it's a "loss" and he'll write off the cost.

Now, if he had dropped a tiara down your throat . . .

12. Does he expect to reuse it after you find it?
Why does he want you to look for it? I he concerned it could hurt you or block your intestines or something? Sounds pretty gross to me.

13. With Tort Reform you will not be able to.
even if he knocks all your teeth out.
The regime's plans for tort reform will restrict anyone from sueing thier doctor for malpractice.
The Doctor is always right, even when he cuts the wrong leg off.

16. What are your damages?
Pain and suffering? Emotional distress? Lost wages? The cost of the crown?

What are you seeking?

17. Litigation should be last resort
Lawsuits are expensive and in this case, the easier solution is for the dentist to make a new crown at his expense.

20. Like me, my dentist is an ol' geezer & a good ol' boy
In reality, I have no plans to sue anybody. And after 3 days of checking, there it was! A sparkling gold nugget! Now I can put "shit miner" on my resume! I called him @ home this AM to tell him to relax & have a nice holiday.
After all, my troubles are truly "behind me".

And tell him you need a few scripts for the pain and anguish.
On edit: Forgot to ask...was it your crown or someone elses?

23. If anybody should sift through your crap,
it should be your dentist.

A new crown is in order, at no additional expense to you.

24. No Picking!
His mistake, let him get a new crown made and replace it. No charge for any of the work. If he says no, find a new dentist. You know, one that cares about his patients.

But, i would NOT look for it. Not in a million years.
