13. Are Those Not Great Songs...
He wrote at least half the Beatles songs if not more...

How about Mother Nature's Son, Live and Let Die,Junior's Farm, Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey...

How about side two of Abbey Road which with the exception of I Want You is Paul McCartney's mini rock concert...

The man can play over eighty instruments... He practically did Band On The Run by himself...

A person might not like McCartney but one can't discount his musical genuis...

18. They are dying...
...in order of their artistic worth. If current trends hold, Paul McCartney may have only five years left. Ringo, of course, will outlast the heat death of the universe, and give birth to a new cosmos.

6. And I've had a thing for drummers
ever since. I still have a small Ringo doll I got as a child. My brothers always call it a troll, but, for me, there was just something irresistable about the guy.

12. Apples and oranges
Both wrote incredible songs at their respective peaks, and both put out some utter crap. Paul has just been around long enough to continue putting out crap.

16. I Agree...I Don't Know Any Artists Who Haven't Hit A Wall Creatively...
Has Eric Clapton done anything in the past twenty years as good as his work with Cream ....

Have the Stones done anything in the past twenty years as good as Exile On Main Street..

You could go on...

20. Pretty evenly matched

They both wrote some drop dead amazing songs that I would give my left to have my name next to in the writing credit. They also have both written some inexcusable crap. I think that because John was murdered he became "St. John the Martyr" and his legacy has been blown way out of proportion. If John would have survived he would have been just as cheesey and annoying as Paul can be. From everything I read from the time period after the Beatles broke up John was considered something of a joke.

Just remember for every Across The Universe there is any song off Two Virgins and Rock and Roll. For every Blackbird there is a whole albums worth of crap in Red Rose Speedway. Also since Paul lived longer and did not become a hermit in the mid-70s he had more time to make crappy albums.

22. Nobody told me there'd be days like these
is cheesy crap, as cheesy as anything Paul ever wrote. John was already there when he was killed. "They're starving down in China, so finish what you've got." Ohhh, scary great philosopher John lays it out there. "Life is what happens when your waiting for something else." Ohhh, he wasted his talent with that schmuck Paul when he could have been a Hallmark card writer all those years.

Its obvious that they were at their best together because of the rivalry that they both deny and which was obvious as hell.

Its also obvious that John was insecure about Paul.

And Yoko frigging Ono broke up the beatles.

21. John was the artist, Paul the craftsman.
Can't compare the two. Both had hits and misses. For every "Tomorrow Never Knows", there's a "Maybe I'm Amazed".

Conversely, for every "Silly Love Songs" there's also a "Move Over Ms. L".
