So Cher does this Flynn song "Human" over the credits of "Stuck On You"

...and it was actually pretty good. Understand it won a Grammy. A melodramatic big ballad, so not totally foreign to Cher's turf, but to my ears a notch or two better than her usual stuff.

David Foster produced it, and he's a guy who definitely knows how to make hit records. The Boston Herald described Flynn's music as "uplifting-without-sounding-naive songs." And into that mix steps Cher, to remake the song for inclusion in a comedy about cojoined twins.

Strange little movie...I've seen all of the Farrelly Bros. flicks, and while it's not my favorite it was worth watching for the usual "Farrelly touches."

One of those deals where you turn on Cinemax, the movie's already started, you don't know Cher's in it, then you go "Hey look, it's Cher" and she ends up doing a pretty decent version of a song that didn't come from some hack Hollywood "hitmaker" like Dianne Warren (author of the abhorrent Aerosmith hit "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing")...

Life is full of surprises.
