What would the Smothers Brothers do in todays political climate?
That is, if they could get a show today (highly doubtful...)

I would love to hear their commentary on today's trend towards fascism...

This shit is putting Nixon to shame. I think there's a good chance that they'd be unable to find humor in the current climate.

maybe the law will catch up with them eventually. Remember when GIngrich was riding high... things caught up with him. Pride goeth before a fall.

I would say that the Daily Show is about as subversive as the Smothers Brother were (and I mean that in a good way).
