4. The 'old' music is very in with kids nowdays. Ever notice how many
retro radio stations there are? There are even retro bars and dance clubs.

Give them enough of the right music from the 60s and 70s, and maybe a few eyes will open up.

As for the Who, two of my favorite songs: Behind Blue Eyes and Baba O'Reilly.

3. I'm 51 and love the early Who...
They get my old bones a'jumpin'! I sneak them in on the CDs I mix for my class. They kids seem to like them. The kids are alright.

Of all the old stuff I mix in with the new stuff, my fifth graders like the Ramones (who are new stuff to me) the best.

7. Thirteen year old daughter speaking...
I love the Who. I just love them. My favorite song is Baba o'Reily and I just love the lyrics: I don't need to fight, to prove I'm right.

Ahh.... I like the begining of the song a lot too.

12. Best ever use of the Who in a soundtrack:
either:

"A Quick One" in Rushmore,

or

"Won't Get Fooled Again", in Spile Lee's "Summer of Sam", which might be a little much for your youngish eyes. Something to look forward to, though.

8. Hahaha...When my youngest was a teen my friends complained
that their kid listened to rap.

My son discovered the Doors and the Dead.
I listened to that when I was young...Then had to listen to it over and over again when HE played it.

Like living in "classic rock Hell". I even tried to encourage him to expand his musical horizons. He threw away my Vanilla Ice CD so I'd quit messin' with him.

she's already tried that. I love most of the music my mom and dad have.
