....it's idealized, harmonious community; utopia. But if you do a Google search, you'll see there are many Zions including a National Park.

5. In the Matrix, Zion Was The Last Place On Earth Inhabited By Humans
in their normal state. All other humans were nothing more than fuel cells for the machines that ran the planet. In return for the electricity provided by the humans, the machines created this fantasy reality that they lived in.

The people of Zion were unassimilated and fully conscious of the manipulation that the machines were doing.
