2. We just finished eating jambalya that I had simmering all day.
It was great. The kids, of course, hated it. :hi:

okra.....

:scared:

Though let me add I had some deep fried okra once that wasn't all sticky and :scared:. Apparently when cooked quickly enough or something, okra is actually eatable. Otherwise, sorry MrsGrumpy, but I can't touch it. Too gross in the mouth. Not the taste - good taste but the texture of the sliiiiiiiiiiime.

8. Okra is excellent if you cook it just right, and that includes in
jambalaya. Besides, what are you talking about? You're stewing Daffy. :P

11. If you are ever in Michigan, you must stop by for jambalaya with okra.
No slime, only delicious goodness. :hi: Promise.

BUt if, through some act of God, I end up in that god-forsaken shithole of a state again, I'll give you advance warning and shall come to enjoy your jumbalaya!

14. Woo hoo!! I'd love to meet up with other DUers!
All I ever met were elitist east coast liberal DUers.

:-)

Perhaps someday...one never knows. My alma mater is in MI, so I might be there some time for a reunion...
