I got bored, so I made a couple (nonpolitical) pics- incl. 2 DU logos

1. nice. what kind of filter did you use for the water effect?

on the DU one?

2. for the water on the DU one (if I get your meaning correct)

I used a default ocean shader to start with and then just changed the water's color, foam emission (the 'foam' just didn't look right, so I turned it way down), and a couple other things like the scale and frequency of the waves. It doesn't look "right" to me, though; the ocean doesn't really have much of an "ocean" look. Too metallic looking.

edit: if I animated it, it would probably look a lot better than a still, but that would take a couple hours, so maybe I'll do that tonight.

4. Looks like water at night with a full moon, at least as good as

a computer can generate without the subtle nuances a human eye would put here and there.

I think it looks fine.
