Poll question: What morning show do you watch?
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 09:55 AM by NYC Liberal
I usually have the Today Show on. (Yeah, yeah...but it's usually light stuff, and I just mute it whenever they have some Republican hack on.)

I remember I had on Good Morning America the day after we started the invasion of Iraq. Their lead story? No, not the fact that we invaded another country...but the winner of American Idol. :puke:

What about you?

2. Whoa!
You've got time to watch TV in the morning?! I get up just in time to get a shower and stumble in to work.

7. same here. zombie wakes up, turns on tv, gets ready.
That's my routine. And it happens to be the Today Show because I went to Matt Lauer's alma mater, even if he is a tool sometimes.

3. I listen to NPR on the radio.
Usually it's Morning Sedition and then the BBC news hour. That way I feel informed rather than tainted with propaganda by watching the drivel in your poll. No offense. :)

9. You'll be amazed how quickly you won't be able to tolerate it.
I used to watch the drivel, and when I switched over to NPR, I found it kind of...dry. But after about 2 weeks, I switched on the Today show and the mindless banter between Matt, Katie, and the used-to-be-fat-but-now-isn't weather guy almost drove me insane. Now I am genuinely interested in the news and I often leave a few minutes late because I am reluctant to turn off the radio and leave the house.

6. Today.
But it should be noted: 1. I live in a rural community, we only get, like, 20 channels (3 of them Faux) 2. I kind of like Katie. She's perky enough to make me really irritated in the morning. Gets my mind alert and awake!! ;)

8. Another C-Span viewer
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 10:10 AM by Mabus
then at 9:00 (4 minutes ago) the sound goes down, the channel gets turned to CNN and AAR comes on via the internet where it stays until at least the end of Franken.

I live in Kansas. We've got the major three, a Fox affiliate, CNN and Fox as news sources to choose from on our cable package. We're thinking of getting a dish so we can get MSNBC or anything else. I don't want to get Direct TV because of Murdoch. I used to have it but that was when I lived in a more rural area.

16. Used to watch Today
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 11:22 AM by scarlett1
I used to watch the Today Show, ever since I stopped watching Captain Kangaroo in BLACK and WHITE. I never watched another morning show until September, 2004 when I just got fed up with Katie, Matt etc. and their BS. I e-mailed the show and informed them I will stop watching them until they are neutral again and not attempting to coronate King George the Lesser.

What makes this really difficult is that Katie and I belong to the same National Sorority as does Elizabeth Dole  and Deborah Norville.

Now I either don't watch any or CBS or Good Morning America. In any event I only ever watched while getting ready for school or work.

18. Inside Politics..
how can you people be up at 7 am every day? It's probably the college student in me. I keep telling her to get out.

But when I am up after staying awake all night, I watch Washington Journal on CSPAN.
