Is it possible to annoy a dog
so much he'll want to be left alone? I don't think so.

My guy is always all over me. I can spank his belly, pull his ears, poke him all over, lift his jowls and sing annoying songs to him, and the more I do it, the more he wants. Are they REALLY unannoyable?

2. If they love you, yes... it is frightening the abuse a dog will
put up with when it is someone in his "pack" that he loves.

3. Yes. You can scare them, but you cannot get on their nerves.
It's just not possible. I wish I could be more dog-like in that respect!

13. No kidding...
I just held him in my lap and drummed out the Peer Gynt Suite on his belly while singing it annoyingly in his ear.

I woulda pulled a knife on anybody who did that to me at the third note. He wants more.

6. It's because you are the alpha dog in his pack
and you are just teaching him the ways of the pack.

They do get annoyable in adulthood, don't worry. I can annoy the shit out of my dog just by blowing in her ears or her face. But I try not to, it really makes her mad.

in sub-zero weather, right?

Never could figure that one out.

8. Probably leaving him alone would annoy him more
Cats as we know are very easily annoyed but the ultimate annoyance is to leave for a week. Even with the worlds best pet sitters I got SUCH attitude from my cats.

but you were talking about a dog...sorry.

any new pictures?

10. Tickle his paws when he trying to sleep
They tend to move to somewhere else and have this look of disgust.

Step 2: Try another bred of dog, a pit bull comes to mind. These dogs will let you know when they are annoyed, there are no ambiguities about that.

24. This depends on the human
Actually, my pit bull tends to annoy me more than I do him by sitting there laughing at me with a big smile on his face. Yes, dogs do laugh and smile .

One time some little girl (maybe 3 years old) asked if she could pet my dog and I said yes. The kid goes to pet the dog and her brother (maybe 4 years old) whips out with a stick and starts hitting the dog on the head with it. The dog spreads his ears and squints his eyes and sat there a took it. I immediately put an end to the brothers behavior, but the dog did nothing. If an adult went to go hit the dog with a stick that would be a different story.

19. Try to spray the dog with cologne or perfume
Every dog I have ever known has been annoyed by that little pssstttt sound and the smell of cologne or perfume that masks their natural body odor.

Definitely annoys them. Don't try it with cats, though. You'll never get close enough to remove it.

21. alas,
he has no tail to speak of. Just a little bulldog nubbin.

I don't really WANT to annoy him - I'm just curious if it was even possible. My experimentation so far says no. I will keep trying.

22. Blowing in my dog's face annoys him. Bathing him with a hose annoys him.
However, he will stick his snout into a 60 mph wind from the car window in a pair of seconds and love every minute of it. He will break ice in our mountain lake to get a swim in. Funny, funny critters.

23. best thing about bulldogs.
They'll make you feel like a dumbass for even trying to annoy them LONG before they actually get annoyed.

Here's for you, Dookus - a pic of my puppies playing in the yard yesterday:

Notice Stangle's already better than half Althea's size. This boy's gonna be a monster.

33. Yes - I am sure that it could, and would...
...if properly aggrivated. Not that I would, but I have seen it done, even by children meaning no malice to the animal.

30. and you can tickle their feet
wrap them up in a blanket
spin them around in a circle

actually giving my dog a bath annoys her considerably, she has to work double hard rolling in poo the next day to make up for it.

Anyone who's lived with a Lab knows what it's like when they're shedding their underneath winter coat.

:scared:

That puppy is too cute, Dookus. Really sweet looking.
