Really....can you imagine that?....Liberal is not a dirty word here....The Liberal Party of Canada, which is now in power and governing us!!!....I don't get it...why liberal is a shameful word in the USA....I think the people who are frightened by the word should look it up in the dictionary....It means nothing but good things...Find me a synonym for liberal that should scare you.....:)

Liberal, that is. As far as I can tell, they're center-right.

Anyway, I would be a liberal in another country and can prove it. During my years in Canada, I voted NDP every time. (In Alberta, no less!)

The Liberal Party of Canada is not as liberal as the NDP, but they are NOT center- right...They are liberal....My point is in countries outside the U.S.A. liberal is not considered a dirty word!

but that's only because I have this faux-facade set up just to be able to live and work here in Texas.

I'd quickly drop it and fit right in, because the true me is extremely liberal. I just have to tone it down a bit to keep my job here.
