Should I apply for citizenship?

I've lived here since I was two months and old and haven't been eligible for citizenship until I turned 18, a year ago. It wouldn't have made a difference if I had applied then because the process takes its sweet time. I was really pissed off that I couldn't vote and I'm supposed to apply at the end of this year. I'm not sure that I want to though. First of all, I'd rather not spend my birthday money on that (hehe) and second of all, I don't know if I'm gonna live here for the rest of my life.

1. Keeping your options open might not be a bad idea.

If you apply for citizenship, you'll have to give up whatever claims to any other citizenship you have. The US does not allow dual citizenship for anyone not a minor. (Yeah, I know... just another way we're barbaric and backwards. Sigh.)

Are you having any problems? I'd worry more about La Migra than voting at this point.

I shouldn't have any problems. I'm totally legal. The problem I'm having is coming up w/ the money.
