It then dawned on me - these fundamentalist idiots do NOT care about the good works that people do, heck they have a Chick Tract where missionaries working in Africa go to hell simply because they didn't convert anyone to Christianity despite all the good work they did.

Fundies believe in one thing and that is converting EVERYONE to Christianity. Nothing else seems to matter. I spent all day Wednesday after the election in a mindless numb and I stumbled on these little fundie comic books and I realized the mindset of what we're up against. Bush doesn't have to do one iota of good works towards humanity as long as he professes he's a Christian and does whatever it takes to convert the rest of this country into Christians. Despite the fact that Jesus spent years on earth doing good works, these fundies believe in a scripture that is in the later part of the New Testament from Paul that good works does NOT lead you to heaven but only professing in Christ will. Heck these fundies aren't even following the right Messiah - they're doing what PAUL told them to do.

Enjoy the Chick Tracts and have a good chuckle. But remember, every fundie you deal with in life is pretty much like these idiots drawn in the Chick tracts. To me they are not Christians but Paulians since it is Paul's letters that they are following
