you're right. It's giving me the server's homepage. I was just looking at it!!

I'm sure they're having traffic issues. They went from a few pictures to over 700 in one week. There's bound to be bandwidth problems and server timeouts with that much info.

5. It's not bittersweet, for me, anyway.

It's more a feeling of not being alone. Sometimes DU can be a cold place especially if you're wrestling over in GD and don't hang in the lounge much.

I don't know, it's just a feeling of not being alone which is how I've felt for a long time. It's a feeling of belonging to a majority of totally righteously cool people and it makes me well up with pride. :thumbsup:

yeah I know what you mean about DU. I sometimes wonder about the DU unspoken etiquette rules....like, is there something I'm not getting? As if there's a rule to stay disconnected to a certain extent--don't expect hello's from people you've had "thread conversations" with. Keep things very intellectual. Or something.

But I've long since gotten over that in accepted that DU is what it is. It serves its very specific purpose but it's important to get away every once and again...go ride a bike, climb a tree, read a book, try a hoola-hoop, look at old photos, strike up a conversation with an elderly person...that type of thing. It's hard to wade through all the crap here but once I've done one of the above things I'm so excited to come back and see what's cookin'. The signal to noise ration can be low at times, if ya dig what I mean.

and when I'm insomnia-ing, or home with a cold and can't get out, I DU till my butt's blue. There's just so much interesting stuff to read here, its hard to pull away sometimes. :crazy:

sorry. It's a sound recording term. The actual "signal" meaning a good, clear signal of whatever it is you're recording (voice, instrument) versus the various types of noise associated with recording (hiss, background noise, tape hiss, etc.) Sorry. I sometimes completely forget that the whole world isn't as big a music geek as me. You have a good night too!!
