OK, I'm embarrassed to ask a stupid computer question
Whenever I link to a page, it is always a small window. Where do I go to change this so all pages and sites I open are maximized?
I warned you it was dumb...but help, please.

1. I don't think there's an option to have them maximized by default
but then I could be wrong..so you're not so dumb to ask ;D

3. look in upper right corner of your window
there are probably 3 little squares. One has a horizontal line, one has a sort of square with one side a heavier line, one has an X.

Click on the one with the square in it and it should expand the window.

5. It's not a dumb question
But it's a pain in the neck that you will need to remember for the future.

This is the way I've done it--there are some webpages with tutorials on this, but it's fairly simple.

Blow up all your windows to maximum. Then, begin closing them by pressing the "shift" key while you are closing them. Make absolutely certain that the very last window you shut while keeping the shift key depressed is totally maxed. Once that is done, you may open up a new window. From that point on, until you end up changing the size of a window and closing it at that new size, your windows should be all maxed. That's on IE. I have no idea on how to do it with Netscape or other browsers.

8. Great question, maybe tough to answer
In Microsoft IE browser windows are the size of the last IE window that was closed, the last time you closed out all IE windows.

IOW if you open just one IE window, maximize it, and close the application completely, the next time you start IE it should be maximized; and so should all subsequent ones (except HTML pages that are coded for a prescribed size.)

I'm not completely sure that's both accurate and complete, but try it.

10. Now, I'm not even going to ask what THAT is!
Maximizing windows is all I can handle right now. It has been a tough week! I don't even have the nerve to ask how to use 'bold' or 'font' capabilities yet. Maybe next week. Thanks all!:grouphug:

11. firefox is a browser
if you've heard of mozilla, its the updated version of that...it is a million times better than IE, Netscape, or Safari, IMHO

15. There's nothing going on down there now
I like heated discussions. When there's nothing to argue about I get bored.

16. The gun nuts must all be off celebrating their big victory in the
recent Presidential election. Even though they're Democrats, that is.

12. First, close all of your browsers
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 12:13 AM by Nomad559
Open your first browser, right click on a link and click on ( Open In New Window ) Now close the first window you opened. Right click on your taskbar and click on ( Tile Windows Horizontally ) Now all your windows should open maximized.

This works for me ... :)
