The Words of Obi Wan Knobe
From the Star Wars trailer:

For over a thousand generations
the Jedi Knights were the guardians of
peace and justice in the Old Republic.
Before the dark times
Before the Empire....

Chilling aint it.

2. one question
Why didn't Yoda just tell Luke that Darth Vader was his father? He obviously knew him.

Or for that matter, the big hairy thing - Chewey. Why didn't he mention it, apparently he plays a big part in Episode 3.

You think someone could drop a dime to Luke - "pssst, by the way, the guy we're fighting, he's your daddy."

Eh.

3. Because He Didn't Want To Lose Luke To The Dark Side
as well. If he'd told Luke, then Luke may have freaked out and gone crazy.

Palpatine: I love democracy... I love the Republic... and I will lay down these powers once this crisis has abated!

This country could learn a lesson from SW2, it's all about how a war is orchestrated in order to destabilize a democracy enough so that it can fall under the rule of a dictator.

Here's another one from the SW2 script (cut from the theatrical release, but it might be in the DVD's deleted scenes... anyway...)...

Padme: Wake up, Senators.. you must wake up! If we offer the separatists violence, they can only show us violence in return! Many will lose their lives! All will lose their freedom. This decision could very well destroy the very foundation of our great Republic. I pray you, do not let fear push you into a disastrous decision. Vote down this security measure, which is nothing less than a declaration of war!

BTW, someone caught Lucas on the Hyperspace web cam wearing a "We didn't elect him, we don't have to keep him" tee-shirt. Love Lucas :D

5. No, it's not the slightest bit chilling. Because of Star Wars was anythin
like current events Anakin would have managed to slice himself in two halfway through the story crawl.
