Was I wrong...I need advice on a personal issue..rant
I went to the county Dem party. There were not enough tables. I was saying hello to my friends and my husband kept an eye out for a table. He found one and sat down. A person who I wasn't so fond of said that she had stood up all day and needed to sit down. I told her to go sit in the seat in the chair my husband found for me. My husband had pulled up one other chair and I noticed that two of our 78 year old volunteers had no seat. I went up and told them there was a seat available over there. The volunteer, mid forties, told this 78 year old woman she was saving the seat for a freind. That was my seat that my husband was saving for me. The two 78 year old volunteers then had to stand. Another 40 something took the seat and my husband stood up in disgust. I confronted them and said: "Do you realize that you just took the seat of two 78 year old volunteers?" She got very angry and went off on how she should leave. I calmed her down and found other seats for the older volunteers. Then I left.

Will I ever work with her or respect her again? no.

3. Was she frustrated about election?
Maybe she was having a bad day. But you also must realize that being conscientious and caring does not necessarily come easily to most people. You were expecting her to respond as you would, and maybe we expect too much of others. Still, I am so glad you stood up and spoke the truth, maybe she is angry now, but she will think about her actions because you opened her eyes to something she may not even have known she was doing.
