I kind of want to see some chaos....

In 1972, one elector from WV (was it Warner?) decided he could not in good conscience vote for Richard Nixon. So he didn't.

But of course it didn't matter, since there were over 400 other EV's.

If there were a couple dozen of these alleged Republican grown-ups that thought a second Dauphin term would be a disaster...

4. I truly believed that a few electors would break for Gore
in 2000. I walked around in a daze when the electoral voted was counted. They just don't vote their conscious. Don't base your hopes on that.

it's likely they'll vote for another Republican- Cheney, for example. It's not going to help Kerry.
