From Margaret Cho's Blog....
"Ultimately, a government cannot defeat its people, no matter how much power they assume or how corrupt they are. Even though today feels like a defeat, there is no loss. There is only opportunity. Now we have the chance to challenge everything, fight everything...

There are a huge number of us that are on the same side. We had no idea how many of us there were before. We constitute roughly half of the nation, probably more. If we refuse to concede to apathy, then we can roll up our sleeves and get dirty..."

8. I like this bit - it won't save the old growth forests but it helps a bit
"I think, in two years, that Bush is going to lose both the Senate and the House. After that, I think he'll be impeached before the next election. By 2008, the GOP will be lucky if they can get a candidate who'll get 30% of the vote, and it'll be another two decades before they'll be able to convince the electorate to give them the White House again. Bush and this current incarnation of the GOP will be viewed as little better than the Dixiecrats -- wrong about everything and abandoned on the ashheap of history."

10. You know, a lot of Moderate and real
Conservative Republicans (not neocons) were concered about just this. That another Bush* term would pretty much destroy the Party. I hope its true.

11. she has some good things to say
but IMO she could've left the paragraph containing this sentence out:

"Just the radical uncoolness of their musicians compared to Democratic rock stars is fairly awesome to consider."

12. Definitely, instead of one person fighting against those in Congress
we will have millions of people fighting them in any and every way possible. I'd like to have the largest war protest in history sometime soon. We should be organizing widespread boycotts that really hurt the evil corporations that support Dumbya.

13. we have to move on asap...
I don't want to stand around playing the blame game while the right wing makes plans to steal the next election!

Divide & conquer has been the imperialist tactic throughout history... I don't want to dems fall into that trap after the unity we have built up on this round!
