6. 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)
Anything off the Wild, Innocent E Street Shuffle, off of Greetings? Thatis when Springsteen was great imo. THe rest of the stuff paels. The Whole Born to run rcord is incredible, but the stuff on the Greetings and E Street Shuffle disks is so incredible for a young artist.

10. Speaking of Springsteen...
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/982087/posts

This just in from Freak Republic:

<snip>
"Rock star Bruce Springsteen called for the impeachment of President George W. Bush at a nearly sold-out concert at FedEx Field just outside of Washington, DC tonight. During the introductions of his back-up band, The E Street Band, Springsteen said of saxophonist Clarence Clemons, "It's time to impeach the president and get a man in there to get us out of this mess." The audience cheered in response."

Hey Bruce...

16. I love to hear Freepers whining.
This could be the turning point. Bruce has kept relatively quiet about politics lately, but he could lead the way for artists to finally step up to the plate against the Clear Channel lead censorship of commercial radio.

14. Ever hear the Smithereens or Raul of the Mavericks do Downbound train?
Or David Bowie do Saint in the city? I think Downbound train is one of the saddest songs ever made. Even Hank Williams or George Jones can't match that one.

18. They're all good
The Smithereens version is on "One Step Up/Two Steps Down" anthology. Rauls version is on another anthology I don't have or remember the name of. I highly recommend the "One Step Up/Two Steps Down" recording.

22. Incident on 57th Street
I gotta go with "Incident on 57th Street". That was the song which turned me on to The Boss's music. Saw him in concert one time back in '83 and all I can say is, "Damn, that guy is good".

27. Can't choose just one--
he has so many great songs. I don't think I could even choose a greatest song off one album because each album has so many good ones.
