And not vice-versa! Really, you see the catcher jump up and the pitcher catches him after the big win, but never the other way around.

What causes this? Tradition? The trajectory of how they have to run? Sexual preference?

7. catchers are all gay
after a win

You would think that the "pitcher" would provide the motion though, wouldn't you?

9. Who's the Mets catcher who is always has been rumored to be gay?
Can't think of his name right now. Used to play for the Dodgers, and the first time I saw him, I said "GAY!"

12. VERY likely! Even Letterman made some reference to it, and everyone
tittered nervously, like, yeah, he is a big queen!

11. It doesn't ALWAYS happen that way!
Here's a famous photo from 1968 when the Detroit Tigers won the World Series. Mickey Lolich won his third game of the series, and jumped into the arms of catcher Bill Freehan.
Every Tiger fan alive LOVES this photo, especially because Mickey was so big!

Mickey Lolich jumped Bill Freehan after the seventh game of the 1968WS. So to speak.
John
And I think Parrish caught Willie Hernandez after the '84 Series, too.
