It's been a year tonight that my Mickey passed away.
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 09:46 PM by ronnykmarshall
God how I miss him. This picture was a few weeks before he died. I can still feel him paws on my fingers.

Homeboy doing his best lookin' all bad and shit. He really was just a little sweetie.

Chillin' under the skylight. He LOVED it when we moved to So Cal. Lots of sun and the whole place to himself.

One of my favorite pictures of him. "Dad, can you just stick that camera up your ass? I'm need to attack something ..... YOU!"

Mickey's 8th birthday. "Yeah, take the damn picture and eat the cake!"

"Yeah, I'm bad."

Daddy and his boy. This little sweetie and had such a great life together. He got me through some tough times and he was always there for me.

This is Catwoman's favorite picture of him. G'on Mickey!

His other favorite spot. Chillin' on deck.

Rest in peace my baby boy. I'll see you again someday.

:loveya:

Dad

We got up one morning and it was COOLLLLLD (for LA). Mickey was on Michael's lap with that ol' tongue hangin' out. I thought I was gonna pee laughing so hard.

9. Wonderful memorial!!!!
I can empathize. I lost my 7 year old guinea pig Muffy a year ago this November....I'm still in mourning for Creampuff (6) and I will never let go of little Toastie, who was only 4. I kept him alive with meds snuck to me by my doctor's nurse but he was very sick with an infection and passed when I took him of the meds and stopped the force feeding.

Now, I look at my 3 dogs and can't imagine life without them...

Mickey was so lucky to have you as a dad!!!

30. Same for you.
I love when I hear that people fight for their little ones.

We did everything we could. Mickey just slipped away when we visted him at the vet last year.

He waited for us to come and say good by. If we could have saved him it was worth it. It's just money.

12. I know how you feel . . .
I still miss my bunny girl, and it's been more than two years.

There's a Native American belief (my source did not say which nation) that when we die, all the animals who knew us during our lives are there at the gates of Heaven when we arrive, and they get to decide if we get to go in.

If that belief is correct, at least you know there will be one critter arguing in your favor!

to dress her up in clothes and ride her like she was a horse; poor thing was a wire haired terrier.). LOL (not really funny, but when you're like, 5, what do you know?!).:wtf:

24. That cat in the glasses and outfit cracks me up.
Sorry to be silly in this serious thread.

I'm very sorry about your loss. Losing a pet is losing one of your family members as far as I'm concerned. After we had to put Benjamin to sleep (he became very sick at age 12), my mom and dad decided not to get another dog (couldn't deal with the loss of another dog), but they did get some tropical birds. They have a cool Senagalese parrot now (they had two other birds, but one killed the other (I'm not kidding...we called her 'Murder Bird!' for a while) and the other eventually died).

21. I'm pretty sure you were the one who used to post
links to short movie files -- was that Mickey, in those?

Funny thing -- Mickey looks a great deal like our senior/diva cat, Tink. She'll be seven this weekend -- we adopted her the week after Christmas '97, the shelter said she was eight weeks old, so we call Halloween her birthday.

He was a beautiful cat. I somehow can't quite imagine a house without a gray tabby in it.

I hope Mickey has great fun with Blackie!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/Momliberated/Blackietoys.bmp

Isn't it amazing the wonderful bond we share with our pet families? My daughters were in Florida visiting their grandparents when Blackie died. Later that day, my 8 year old called and asked to speak to him. She knew that something had happened because "she had a bad feeling in her heart."
God bless you and Mickey.

These little guys are such treasures, and we just never know how much time we will have with them.

You gave Mickey a great home and tons of love. I know you must miss him terribly. It's so damned hard to say goodbye to our special cross-species friends.

Thinking good thoughts for you tonight --
