I vandalized a Bush sign tonight!!

I was out putting up Kerry signs all over my town and as I was putting up a Kerry lawn sign I saw a Bush sign laying on the ground. So I picked up the Bush and stuck those medal poles through the top of the sign and stood it back up with the writing upside down.

1. Is that vandalizing?
You put the sign back up. You didn't destroy or steal it. You merely made it easier for Bush supporters to read :)

3. The rule that we have enforced is simple
At the side of the road where one turns into the neighborhood, which is public property, we put up our Senate/Presidential signs just as the Republicans had situated theirs.

Within 48 hours our Kerry sign was gone.

Now, in past years, we have considered ourselves above reciprocating this kind of behavior, but this was just too fucking much. I am so sick of the Republicans taking advantage of the fact that Democrats tend to be nice and avoid that sort of intrigue. So, after hearing about Kerry signs being taken or destroyed throughout the city, we decided to send some serious negative reinforcement: no Bush sign will ever stand along the interstate again for the rest of the year. They seem to not have gotten the hint any too well though, since we have lots of Bush/Cheney signs piled downstairs now. We haven't decided what to do with them all after the election, but it's made more interesting by the fact that the perpetrators put their names on them. I haven't decided yet.
