Rummie, who has never shown himself to be too sharp, says he believes the missing munitions were moved prior to the arrival of American troops. He makes this assessment despite the fact there is videotape shot by a television station, showing the troops leading a reporter and cameraman around the bunker where those explosives boxes were stacked waist high. And they show the troops of the 101st Airborne Division leaving the area without re locking the bunkers.
The troops were there....the explosives were there and the locks were unlocked, making it a cakewalk for insurgents to saunter in and make their selections from a smorgasbord of bombs.
