13. Nah, that's mild
If you have any naked pictures of her, she'll hate you for them, especially when you show them to her fiance. She'll hate you for holding her hand when you cross the street when she's 11 and her friends see you doing it. She'll hate you for the outfit you made her wear for her class picture in 8th grade when she wanted to wear that really cool thing that was totally inappropriate.

She'll hate you for insisting that she is home by a reasonable hour when she goes to her first dance. She'll hate you for not letting her go to the Metalhead Freaks On Fire concert with a bunch of kids who were expelled last year. She'll hate you for calling to check up on her every week while she's in college.

And when she becomes a mom, she'll thank you for all of the above. ;)

29. Unicorn picture
Oh how cute. Is that the talking unicorn costume? When my husband and I went to pick out a costume for our toddler to wear (it's her first Halloween in the US)I wanted to get her that one or the talking dinosaur one that said Hi, I'm Danny O'Dinosaur. Husband nixed that one. But the kid saw a cat costume and decided that it was THE ONE. Which is funny as heck because in reality she doesn't much like cats. Oh well. Thank you for sharing a very nice photo.

And she looks like she's pretty happy in the costume... If she complains later (you know, when you bring out the photos for her prom date to look at while she's getting ready), just tell her that she had her chance to say no when you were out buying the costume in the first place!

39. She absolutely threw a fit when I tried to take it off her to look at
other costumes, I showed her a bunch and she just kept standing there saying "Oooh Mommy SHINY". I wanted her to be a ladybug or a witch...But No. She did steal my witches hat later and put it on over the unicorn head, But I wasn't fast enough with the camera to get it.

48. Save this! My son just turned 30 and I made a huge poster...
... of the him in the costume "they" made him wear in a class play. It was HORRIBLE, and he knew I was going to do something with it at some point in his life.

The poster was the hit of the big party. We displayed it directly as party-goers entered the house.

Yeah, it is your duty to embarrass your kids. It's in the fine print on the birth certificate. Not to mention, keeps you sane later in life to have something to laugh about.

Everyone needs to go to therapy sometime. I say, "give 'em a legitimate reason!"

Kerry on!

52. Oh, I bet it made him laugh like hell though
That is great that you did that. Once you hit your thirties you start enjoying your Youth. I am turning 34 this year and I love looking at pics of me as a kid now. On one hand I think Man, I smiled a lot despite the fact I was a total train wreck, and on the other hand I think, this is what defined who I was. I especially love the one picture I saw not so long ago of my Dad holding me. I had to be right about the age that my Girl is right now. I had this little Plaid outfit on, and he was just beaming. He still looked really handsome, and I looked absolutely in awe of him. It made me cry to see, but gods, It made me happy!

That is cool about you and your pictures. After the party, my son's girlfriend (I don't know what to call her; I hate "significant other," and they have been together for five years)...anyway, she found out her mom has breast cancer.

So, they went to visit. My dear son, who was raised well I might add, shaved his head for her. What a guy! Anyway, while still visiting, his girlfriend emailed me. Could I please send all those pictures -- especially the poster one?

Her mom needed a laugh. How sweet was that? So, I rallied up all the pics and sent 'em.

If there is a fire, I'm one for saving all the pictures!
