Former teeth grinders: how did you stop?

At age 30, I seem to have picked up the unpleasant habit of grinding my teeth. All the usual results are there, including a really tense jaw, etc. How the hell do I stop?

1. I do this in my sleep

It's actually a sleeping disorder called "sleep bruxism".

My dentist made me a special mouth guard that keeps me from grinding back and forth and protects my teeth.

Actually, I had one of the guards, but I haven't needed to wear it in years.

for when I used to work tech support. Dealing with idiots was making me wear my teeth down. After I started to bite through the plastic I decided I was never gonna survive as a sane man, and switched roles in the company
