... of a good friend of mine, a Yankee fan from Long Island. We were sitting in the dorm lounge (Shelton Hall at BU) watching game 6 of the 86 series, and he went absolutely nuts when the Mets came back and won (I forgave him for it). He really seemed to enjoy rubbing our faces in it (he's a bit misanthropic but there you are).

... we're numb to it ;-) I've actually managed to get to the point (18 years later) where I can look at that photo and not get all teary. It helps that I forced myself to watch the (very painful)segment about it in Ken Burns' 'Baseball' documentary (most painful of all was Bob Costas' description of the Sox clubhouse all set up for the celebration, and having it all taken down within a matter of minutes).
