4. I hate to say it, but my first reaction was...
..."My God, do they look old!"

Garfunkel, in particular, should finally lose the Afro -- on a sixtysomething, it makes him look a little like Christopher Lloyd in Taxi. At least he still has the upper range of his voice; Simon sounded in seriously bad vocal condition tonight, although I've heard him sound a lot better in the past few years.

Still, at least they're still around. What with Johnny Cash, George Harrison, and Warren Zevon, I keep expecting/dreading to hear word that yet another one of the musical idols of my youth is no longer with us...
