7. He's sort of like the anti-Jeter.
I like Jeter, don't get me wrong. But I honestly liked seeing all those freaks on the field. They reminded me of Spaceman Lee. I remember when Stump Merrill told Don Mattingly to get a haircut during the last really awful Yankees season. Nice to see they don't operate like a corporation up in Boston.

9. Exactly
Without the curse the Red Sox are just another fluke team, like the California Angels, Diamondbacks or Toronto Blue Jays, all of whom won a World series and were quickly forgotten.

that is a depressingly disturbing thought.

18. I'm sorry
Boston is a great liberal city, and I don't mean to dis the city. Next to San Francisco, it may be the most liberal, livable city in the whole country. My nerves are just a little raw after blowing four straight games.

Yankees truly suck this year. Blowing 4 straight, the Yankees may have started a f*cking curse of their own tonight.

19. Now you know what it feels like to be a Red Sox fan!
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 12:51 AM by BurtWorm
Except you have to multiply what you're feeling by 1,918. ;)

Incidentally, I don't hate the Yankees. I live in NYC. I moved here at a time when Red Sox started coming to play for the Yankees--including two of my all-time favorites, Wade Boggs and Roger Clemens. I was really happy those guys finally got to wear World Series rings. And I was a Yankees fan for most of the 1990s. But I have to admit, I really like seeing the Red Sox in the World Series again!

16. Until the red Sox win a world series....
I will not shut the fuck up.....

Since the Babe Ruth Trade:

Yankees - 26 world champions

Red Sox - 0

Big deal the Red Sox are in the series....big fucking deal....lets see them win one.....you know they wont....they will somehow fuck it up like they always do.....As a yankee fan it will be worth it that the yanks lost to the Red Sox tonight just to see the Sox have a breakdown in the world series....hahahhaa!

10. Johnny Damon has definitely adopted the Charles Manson look...

All he has to do is just give the opposing pitchers that stare and scare the living shit out of them...
