18. Voted for Crimso, but also like Drake, and this one...

"Unknown Pleasures" by Joy Division
Desing by Peter Saville

The image is "a transcription of a signal showing a star going nova, on a black embossed sleeve", to quote from the All Music Guide

Also must give honorable mention to the gatefold of "Close to the Edge" by Yes. Very good art, and must be enjoyed at "LP Size". Those little CD booklets don't do proper justice to album cover art.

22. Wasn't the late Phil Hartman a well-known cover artist
before he switched full-time to comedy? (only thing is, I don't know which lp sleeves he designed).

I believe the same with Dean Torrence from Jan&Dean.

23. Never Mind the Bollocks smashes you in the face.
It is designed to piss people off. Lurid clashing colours, and disturbing (at the time) "ransom note" lettering, all presented with the simplicity and directness of a slap across the mouth.

A great cover.

I was with Joe about a month before he died. Still very sad.

Joe would have been brilliant now. We need a voice like his.
