6. Arroyo tried to tag A-rod

A-rod as he was running to first base he slapped Arroyo's arm causing the ball to fly out all the way to foul territory, which allowed Jeter to score and A-rod get to third. The umps eventually overturned the call because A-rod interfered with the tag using his arms.

Yes, with his hands. That's illegal in baseball.

You cannot slap, punch, or grab a defensive player in an attempt to knock the ball loose.

The only permissible way to dislodge a baseball from a defender is to run right into him, and even then, it's only legal if the defender is directly in the base path.

It was a cheap-ass dirty trick, and he nearly got away with it. I thought A-Rod was better than this.
