5. It's not so bad...

It was worse when I was kid. Several times it was the first day of school. Plus my presents were all back to school stuff..

Although, it did ruin my birthday 2 years ago..

on September 11, too: Theodor W. Adorno. It's his 100 birthday today. He was escaping to the USA from Nazi Germany and came back after the war. So, there are good things related to this sad date, too.

That's not heretical by any means--you WERE born on A September 11th, right? People born on December 7th and November 22nd (another difficult one this year--the 40th) also didn't ask to be born on "days that will live in infamy". But they probably celebrate THEIR birthdays on those days, too!

Commemorate their lives...and then give thanks for the one you have!:-)
